Question 1

Is PaceGuard a good alternative to Life360?

Accepted Answer

If you want family location without needing a phone in every pocket, yes. PaceGuard runs on the smartwatch itself and on the phone, is made by 2552 BV in the Netherlands and keeps your data inside the European Economic Area. If driving features matter most to you, Life360 is built for that.

Question 2

Does everyone need a phone?

Accepted Answer

No. PaceGuard runs on the watch: GPS, the network connection over Wi-Fi or LTE, and SOS all work from the wrist. Family members who would rather use their phone install the phone app and share their location from there, on the same family map.

Question 3

Where does PaceGuard store my family's location?

Accepted Answer

In a database operated by PaceGuard inside the European Economic Area, under the GDPR. Everything travels over TLS.

Question 4

Does PaceGuard sell location data?

Accepted Answer

Never. We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or analytics tools that profile you. The site has no third-party trackers.

Question 5

How do I move my family from Life360 to PaceGuard?

Accepted Answer

Install PaceGuard on each watch or phone, sign in, and invite your family with an email invite or a family join code from your dashboard. Your new history starts from the first fix; nothing is imported from Life360.

Question 6

What does PaceGuard cost?

Accepted Answer

There is a free plan. Paid plans start at €3.99 a month, with Family plans for the whole household. SOS is free on every plan.
